Everything from small city-perfect cars, to large executive saloons to cooled vans are available for hire; you can be sure to find something to meet your needs.

City cars, such as Ford Fiestas can be rented from a mere £28 per day, which is a bargain considering they have relatively powerful 1.2L engines. The £28 includes an allowance of 100 miles per day (but you still have to pay for petrol!) – if you managed to go over this limit you simply need to pay the company 15p for every mile that you’ve driven over your 100 mile allowance. There are also similar cars available such as the ultra-reliable Toyota Auris (ignore the recent scandals from Toyota – their cars are still well-built and reliable!) from around £35 a day. If you’re looking for something a bit more powerful the 1.6L VW Golf is an excellent car for boy racers (not that we can condone racing in rental cars!) with prices starting at just £49 per day. If you need something a bit classier, perhaps the Golf isn’t quite right for a high-powered business meeting, then look no further than the Saab 93 diesel saloon or Mercedes-Benz A-Class, both of which are available for just £50 per day. Four-wheel drives are of course available for the larger family, from £55 per day for a Nissan Qashqai, or if you really want to roll around London in a convertible you can pick up a Mercedes CLK from £110 per day.
