There are so many attractions to see in London and it’s hard to know which ones to choose to go too especially if you have particular time periods on a holiday in which to do them.

Here I am giving in my opinion the top three things to see if you have rented a car and can get to some of the further afield attractions.

Legoland Windsor is a great day out for all the family to enjoy. There are plenty of things to keep everyone amused. For young children there are small rides and play areas, for older children then the bigger rides are good. For adults there are all the rides and shopping you could want. The whole party can also enjoy the water stunt story shows on the big lake as well as interactive zones the model Lego cities and 4D shows. The food and drinks on offer are wide in there variety for example you could get a carvery, try an Italian feast, simple baguettes, burritos, hot dogs, chips and not forgetting the ice-cream parlours, fresh doughnuts and sweets.

Madame Tussauds and the Planetarium is another favourite. See many famous faces made of wax and pose with these stars. The planetarium is spectacular and children love the vastness of it.

The London Dungeons is more for adults and teenagers, but is well worth a visit. It is very scary and makes you jump more than you think you will. You learn about the dark side of London history such as ‘Jack the Ripper’. It’s gripping.

Famous Tourist Attractions In London

There is no shortage of tourist attractions in London, this is a huge and historic city after all, so unless you plan on staying there for a few years you definitely won’t have time to visit each and every one of them. So which ones are the most famous, or just good for a few hours of fun? I’m glad you asked! No matter what interests you I’m sure you will find something to do.

For a start there is my personal favorite the Imperial War Museum; I love all things related to military history but I have been with other people who aren’t as fanatical about it as me and they still really enjoyed it. This place holds some very important historical documents, such as Hitler’s signed order authorizing the march on Poland, but it also has some interactive sections so you’re not just looking through glass cases all day. This museum is free to enjoy but it relies on donations so I recommend you give whatever you can.

Another great tourist attraction is Westminster Abbey, a world heritage site, which is loved by almost everyone who visits. I can’t even begin to describe how much history this place has, you’ll just have to see for yourself, and even if you’re not a religious person you will enjoy the architecture and history.

Well I will have to leave it for another day to tell you about some more tourist attractions in London, so until then get your London car rental fired up and take a spin around the city!
